First off Joe was only describing what blow-by is and second a new engine will have increased blow-by until the rings seat. If the engine is freshly rebuilt the cylinder finish and the ring material will dictate how long it takes for the rings to seat in, this will also be determined by other factorys but the above make the most difference. Obviously if the tunning is off it will cause problems and delay or prevent the rings from seating, i.e. cylinder wash down. I would make sure all things are dialed in correctly before running this thing to much to avoid additional problems and the added work of pulling it again.
Good Luck.
Excellent points. I didn't know the engine was a fresh rebuild. Get your tunes straight and get the engine broken in and let's see what happens...
well my rings are seated. I talked to a guy that knows his stuff. he said it was because it wasnt stock, and the larger injectors and big turbo is what is causing it. he said If I ad a CVV to the passanger side in the filler neck it will be fine.
Well I know what I would do! Get the truck good and hot hook and unhook from dyno then recheck excessive blowby. Your truck must smoke like a freight train huh? So big injectors and big turbo cause excessive blowby?

Any input on that?...
You were told wrong. You don't need an extra CCV on the passenger's side. Sounds like something Jobe Performance would say.
If your blowby is that excessive, then you have problems. A video would be nice to see how much you are puffing out. A compression check would tell you if in fact there is a problem with the engine.

Does the oil still leak with the CCV hose attached to the doghouse and the filler cap removed? If no oil leak maybe a second CCV will help. If it still leaks, second CCV will not help. JMHO
overhauled a tractor engine 2 years ago and it had severe blowby took it to the dealer and he said it was because we were using to high of quality oil for break in of the motor and the rings hadn't seated yet. ran a low grade non detergent oil for 100 hrs and it fixed the problem.
