Banks TransCommand for 4R100/E40D
Just wanted to let you all know that I just added a Banks TransCommand to my '98 E350 / V10.
I'm very happy with the results. Trans is nowhere near as sloppy as when I first drove it; feels a lot more like my AOD - very positive.
Relatively easy to install...once you get around the heat shield.
(Having access from the top didn't hurt, either
)
For now, I have enough power for my needs, hence no "chip" (yet). But also,
I'm in Californica and 93 octane is pretty much non-existant.
Anyway, real happy with the tighter shifts...can't wait to test it with a big load.

Yeah. I put one on my '90 E350 motorhome with E4OD and 460 V8. Works great. I actually mounted the module on the opposite side they said because their location was too close to all the exhaust. Shifts nice and firm under load, without jerking you under light duty.
