The dso is right because the truck came from Texas. It is white.
When you get a chance, post all the codes from the Warranty Plate.

On F500 and larger trucks, it can be located either inside the glove box door, or on the left door face below the latch (same as the pickups).

It must be on the left door face. He said he looked inside the glove box and it was not there. I don't think he can get the drivers door to open so he cannot see the warranty plate.

I posted some pics in a new thread. Thanks.

Vin and Warranty Plate F750 & F600 Transmission

Camperspecial 65 & NumberDummy - I've been sifting through this forum for a few months gleaning as much information as I could about the truck I'm working on and seemingly with every question I searched; one of your two names would eventually appear in the thread . Your old posts have been an invaluable resource to me in the past but after searching tonight I couldn't find the information I'm looking for and I'm wondering if you could help.

I have a 64 F750 that Im trying to Identify the transmission in so I can replace the synchronizer I found the pieces of laying in the bottom of her.

vin number:
F75KU567042

warranty plate information:
132 F750 F81B M H7 E

Net Hp - 176 @ 3800
DSO: 241039

Information on side of Transmission:
218016
K - CA - ER

Shift Pattern:
2 OD R
| | |
--------
| | |
3 4 1

At first I thought I would have a borg warner t98a but there's a PTO opening on both the drivers side and the passengers side which made me think a new process. However the shift pattern is lending me heavily towards a clark.

I have a 61-66 series donor truck that I'm wondering if I could use the transmission out of?
her information is:
Serial number Trans Axle
F600N281186 F F 2

W B Color Model
174 J F600

Max G V W lbs Cert Net HP RPM DSO
17000 135 (or 155) 5800 24

Both trucks live at the family farm 4 hours south of the big city of Atlanta where I work and live. Any information you could give me from those numbers on both the F750 keeper and the F600 donor could save me several road trips now as well as in the future and would be greatly appreciated.

Also is there a chance the steering box from the F600 would be the same part as is in the F750?

Out of curiosity and wanting to be able to find this information on my own: Where is it that you get this information for the bigger trucks? FTE forum is the best resource I"ve found online so far for the classics but it doesn't have a lot of the little things for the bigger trucks that pop up continuously. Are yall looking in the shop manuals that I keep seeing mentioned? If so, where can I get one of my own?

Thank you again,
Emory,

I assume your present gearbox has "oceans" of play in it by now.

I may be able to find the internal parts new, saving you from buying one of those new gearboxes from high buck obsolete parts seller Green Sales.

These two parts catalogs are available on CD's from hipoparts.com

I recently bought a 1980 F-600. I am trying to figure out what size engine is in it. I think it is a 370 but I am not sure. The VIN number is F61HVGA1174. Any help would be appreciated. <!-- / message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig -->
