I am hooking up camera to rear bumper and one to back of trailer, want to use uplifter switches to go between, cameras have rca vidoe cables that hook to my in dash dvd player has anyone done this or know how to use the uplifters as go betweens?
I also have a camera on my truck and one on my trailer, I just ran the RCA ends under the dash so all I have to do when I hook up my trailer is to reach under the dash, unplug the truck camera RCA jack and then plug in the trailer RCA jack.
I have a front camera and a rear camera, I used two switches and two relays for the three modes of viewing...... R-Cam on when in rev (normal all switches off) R-Cam on while driving (sw1 is on) and sw2 switches the F-Cam for the R-Cam (really handy in parking lots and not hitting that &^%$$ little bitty rice burner)
Sure, They are on a Pwr point slide. I used two DPDT switches with leds and one DPDT 12v relay and one SPDT relay. PM me your email and I'll send them.
i did this as well with a front and rear camera. i have a dpdt on-on switch that gives power to the front or rear camera. i then have my reverse wire with a diode and upfitter 1 connected to my stereo reverse sense wire. both rcas are hooked up through a splitter and power is what switches them.
