How to replace Door Actuator

What is the process for replacing the Door Actuator in a 2002 F150.

Remove the door latch first.

Front Door Latch
Removal and Installation

Raise the front door window to the closed position.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05 .
Position the watershield aside.
Remove the bolt and position the rear glass run channel aside.

Disconnect the actuating rods.
If equipped disconnect the actuating rod from the lock cylinder.
Release the locking clip.
Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod from the front door latch.

Remove the screws and position the front door latch aside.
Discard the screws.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Remove the front door latch.
Disconnect the cable from the latch.
Transfer all necessary components.

NOTE: Install the front door latch screw in the small opening first, followed by the large opening.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
If necessary, use Multi-Purpose Grease Spray F5AZ-19G209-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M1C159-A to lubricate the latches.

Then remove the actuator

Removal and Installation

Remove the front door latch. For additional information, refer to Front Door Latch or Front Door Latch—SuperCrew in this section.
Remove the door lock actuator.
To install, reverse the removal procedure
