Transfer Case Fluid

I was wondering what fluid the t-case in my 95 F-150 takes. The t-case is a Borg-Warner but I dont remember the model #. I have been getting different answers from different people (some say it is automatic transmission fluid and others say gear oil).

If you are ever in any doubt on what fluid to use in anything go to amsoil.com for recommendations. However your T/C should use auto trans fluid.

Why would you go to a third party website when the best source of information is in your owner's manual? Reprints can be found at helminc.com

My '88 with the Borg-warner T-case uses ATF.
