I have a set of 4v closed chamber heads,[11.4 to 1 comp] intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds for that motor, you can bolt on an instant 300h.p. , p.m. me if you are interested.

I didn't say it was for a race engine, just thought you might want some extra h.p. while you were redoing your engine, all parts are factory stock.

Pocket port the bowls and polish the chambers. They will work well.

I'd get rid of that electric fuel pump while you are at it. The stock ones work trouble free, there is no reason to run one in your truck.

So, how is the progress on your truck going? Was there any other damage besides valves and push rods?

lossen all your rockers you have way to little compression. sounds like all your valves are being held open a little bit due to either to long a push rod. Loosen intake and exhaust on 1 cylinder and retest your compression. if it goes up you need shorter pushrods unless you upgraded to an adjustable valvetrain. If it does not go up put some oil in the cylinder and retest compression. Do you have a adjustable regulator on the fuel line? If you have an internally regulated fuel pump it could be going bad and overpressurizing causing too much fuel into the cylinders washing the oil away and wiping out your rings also, which may also cause your low compression. With 15000 miles on a rebuilt engine you should be seeing a compression of 75psi or better with a variance of 15% or less between cylinders. That would be using a long hosed compression gauge.

Hope this helps

On edit didnt notice there was more than 1 page to this thread. looks like you found the problem. Good luck!
