some were i read that a non waste gated turbo you didnt really have a real bad egt problem cause they have less back pressure than a gated turbo, but a waste gated turbo makes boost off idle and a non gated turbo makes more on top end

A turbo puts more air in the cylinder.
More air let's you add more fuel.
More fuel means more heat.
More heat means higher EGT's.
The key ingredient here is fuel.
