No whinning from me:
at about 30,000 miles had a clogged EGR, CAT and stuck vanes on the turbo. Our Ford dealer was backed up and out sourced it to a local diesel shop. The shop foreman worked with me on the mods I wanted and Ford kind of helped to pay for it. EGR delete, MBRP exhaust (duels with CAT delete), 64mm turbo. (FOMOCO actually paid for a CAT, an EGR and a turbo, we just applied wht Ford paid towards some better ideas)

at about 60,000 miles I had to have new batteries (Sears Platnum Gell Cells) and a new Alternator.

I love my truck and plan to keep it well into my retirement.

Why do you want a 6.0 so badly?

Judging by how unpopular these motors are and the economy what are these worth right now? Found an 06 30000 4x4 crew cab xlt f350 asking 26000. Oh and what exacly are all the differences between the 250 and 350?

btw only one of you had over 100000 miles. I was hoping people with 150000+ would be saying good things...

Are you looking only at single rear wheel trucks or duallies also? In the SRW, the 350 has larger rear axle shafts and the spring blocks in the rear causing it to sit a little higher than the 250. The payload capacity is higher on the 350. GCWR is within 500 lbs. between the two if equipped pretty much the same. The rear axle on the 250 is rated at 6200 lbs. and the 350 at 7280.

In the DRW, there are even more differences. In regard to your other question, search the 6.0 forum and you can find more owners with high mileage. There have been polls, etc. about satisifed 6.0 owners and I remember reading about several higher mileage trucks in those.
