Here is the problem. My wiper washer dosen't work. I check the fuse it is good (with electric meter not just visual). I checked the pump itself it is good. There is no power coming out of the plug. When I press the button to activate it the wipers do come on. I talked to Ford and they said to take the column switch apart and check it. I was wondering is there a relay somewhere that could be bad. I hate to take the switch apart if there is a relay. They didn't think there was but was not sure. My line of thinking is if the switch activates the wipers then it must be good. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I just bought this truck and I am trying to work out the bugs. 2006 f150 4x4 supercab. I know one thing, the dealers 100+ ford inspection is B.S. I took the air filter out and I have never seen one so clogged up. It was so clogged up that under wot it was trying to suck air in around the filter housing itself. Makes a strange popping sound when it does that. Changed it and it runs 100% better. No more popping. Thanks
I purchased a 2004 F150 Supercrew last Fall and suffered similar issues with the wiper wash motor...turned out that the rubber grommet/filter between the motor and tank had rotted and had plugged the motor, hoses, and one of the spray nozzles...was able to pull the wiper motor and grommet, flush the tank, and then blow out the hoses and nozzles using my air nozzle and tank. I purchased the replacement rubber wiper motor mount/grommet /filter from Ford for about $3.00.
Not sure this is the answer to your problem, but thought I would share regardless...
My passenger side jet doesn't have a hole to spray out! How did that get through? I took a knife and split the jet and now it kinda sprays.... Uncontrolled... And I bet my air filter was worse!
