I am working on a 97 Ford ranger. All of a sudden the wipers quit working, I have replaced the motor, the switch, the relay and checked all of the fuses and all wires for being cut or burnt, everything is looking good. Yet I still have no wipers. I have looked at the Haynes manual and it shows no wiring schematics for the wiper system and no info on any voltage readings for any of the wires goin into the motor. The windshield washer motor is pumping fine but the wiper motor wont turn on when I depress the washer button. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My 94 did that a while ago... Turns out it was the ground from the wiper motor to the body... I could hear the clicking of the motor controller but the wipers didn't move...
Cleaned the ground, everything worked fine after... Hope this helps...
Im getting 5.8 volts to the #3 and #5 pins and nothing to any of the others. The motor is the 6 pin motor and not the 5 pin. Im getting 12 volts in to the wiper switch on two different pins.

I was wrong im only getting around 5.8 volts to the light blue and solid white wires on the motor connector. those wires are the #2 and #5 pins on the connector, all the grounds are reading 12.35 volts, which is what the battery is putting out.
