I have a 2006 F150 and my blower doesn't work on the #1 setting. Usually if the resistor goes out doesn't it blow at high speed? i have speeds 2-4. i tried a new switch but it still doesn't work. Is my next step a new resistor or am i missing something?
Usually if the resistor is blown the blower will only work on high speed.
(no resistance). depending on how the resistor is set up it is possible that only the low speed does not function.
i just pulled out the resistor and it looks like a big microchip. the only speed that worked with it unplugged was high. i know that the #1 setting blew air before. is there a way to check that kind of resistor?
72 Bronc you were absolutely correct. i checked the old resistor, went and bought a new one, it's now installed and working great. thank you for all your help. this was tremendous help. 72 Bronc you are the greatest!!! thanks again.
