x pipe

I plan on using a x pipe in my dual exhaust system. My Question is how critical is the placement of the x pipe I am familiar with h pipe placements and that closer to the headers is better, but I am unsure about the x pipe placement. The engine size is a 460 and pipe diameter is 2.5 Thanks in advance Eric

Eric, Check out www.spintechmufflers.com The X pipes I have seen are under the transmission pan (cars) or as soon as possible after the cats.
