Hey people! I am replacing the weather stripping on my 78' ford and was wondering where the exact placement of the strip on the door is. It appears that they did not have this piece on from the factory but you can get it from LMC Truck. it goes on the door itself, i know that much but I dont know where exactly or how it should be placed. If someone could give a little insite on this or post a pic that would be great, thanks in advance!
Thanks for the pics! That is exactly what I needed. You have a very nice truck there! I am still in the process of restoring mine so I may post pics of it later when i get it done but I am painting mine white too. but I dont think my inside door panels cost as much as yours.

Awesome. I just grabbed those pics from another thread haha! Here are my babies. Goodluck on the truck!
I had a 78 F150 with the Ranger trim pkg. I bought the truck brand new,and it did not have w/strips on the doors. Could it be that these were only used on trucks with the Lariat trim pkg.?
I wonder how it will affect jr.west coast mirrors,Ill be running,B&W what weather strip kit did you go with?
I used the LMC kit. Purchased a few years ago and just now getting it installed. The basic door weather strip looks tighter/better that the very tired OE set I had. I have a good highway run coming this weekend so it will get a good test.
On another thread (I believe it was the 460 Viking build) it was suggested to use later model weatherstrip and we would not have to use any glue. Can anyone confirm that they have done this?
