Oxygen Sensor Placement

Would anyone happen to know the correct placement for the O2 sensor on a 1988 ford f250 with the 460. I just put a new engine in which required me to cut off the old exhaust since it was rusted. The old exhaust looked homemade anyway but it had the o2 sensor between the two separate pipes. My new setup is original with true duals. Should I put it between or on one pie and how far back on the pipes?

Thanks

Original and true duals contradict each other. Factory did not have true duals. Ideally you want if between the two or have the two merge. This way it will take an average reading of both banks vs only one bank. The problem I see with having it only monitor one bank is the truck has batch fire injectors. If you only watch one bank the truck may think there are no issues even if one bank was not running properly.

Ok, I can put it between the two. I should be able to connect them with an extra piece of pipe then put it on that.

Thanks
