You know where the GPR is, yes? BE CAREFUL, but you can jump the 2 big terminals for about 20sec with a big screwdriver (or jumper cables).
To test the GPR, KOEO (Key On Engine Off) and use a voltmeter to see if you are getting 12v + to the GPR's big terminal that is closer to the fuel bowl (center of engine). If you don't get any voltage, the GPR is toast.
It tooks a massive torpedo heater blasting under my truck for a few hours with cardboard around the sides to keep the heat in before it would finally start. And by the sounds of it, the way you describe the starting, it sounds jsut like mine when it gelled.
i put the battery charger on it for an hour or so cycled the key 3 or4 times and it started and ran like a new one?? i put 2 bottles of super dry in it and drove it bout 5 miles!! we will see in the mornin i guess??? thankfuly they called of my work so i dont have to leave at 5am when its 0 outside??? thanks to all that helped me out.

If your batts are four years old like you mentioned, you might be approaching the end of their useful life span. Some get more, some less, but four year old batts, plus the weather you guys have been getting may be the combo that has caused you this pain. .02
