I always dreamed of taking a 78 79 bronco and putting a 72 front end on it and fixing the sides to make it look like the 72 bed. A 7.3 power stroke would top it all off. Walla a 72 fullsize Bronco. It could be done.

there is a pretty big size different from a 78-79 bronco to a 66-77 bronco. 1/4s are not only longer but taller on the 78+ and the width of the whole truck is a good bit more. It would be like putting ranger fenders on an f150. but i bet if you put a 7.3 in a first gen bronco you could pop wheelies with it
