Crazy idea, 4' box???

So, I'm starting to get the wheels moving forward on the resto-mod of my 71. It's a long-bed, but I was just in the garage playing with the tape measure, and started wondering what this truck would look like with a 4' bed. A short wheelbase truck? Obviously, the weight savings would be huge, but what would it look like? I like the look of a short-wide, but this would take that to another level. Has anyone shortened a short-bed? How about someone good with chopping photos? It's just a crazy idea right now, but who knows? These trucks are about as simple as it gets aft of the cab. A couple brake-lines and a couple wires for the lights. This truck won't ever be used as a truck so it's really just a bunch of wasted space...

I was just looking some more, and it looks like there's about 28" between the front spring perch, and the bend in the frame at the back of the cab that could be eliminated easily, but where the other 20" would come from, I'm not sure. Maybe this is a crazy idea...

It would require a high level of body repair skill to pull something like that off because of the sun rise to sun set cuts and welds that are required.

It can be done, but on a scale of 1 to 10 this would be a 14-15. lol
