thanks for the comments everybody but i had a question. What type of mufflers would sound good with my 400? the truck has a true dual exhaust on it now but it has rotted out glasspacks on it. I want a set of aggressive sounding mufflers with a good tone.

the Cherry Bomb Extremes are a single chamber muffler. they run about $51 a piece. or you can get the IMCO Extremes (same muffler, made by same people, just a different name) for about $29.

is the cherry bomb extreme a conventinal muffler or a glasspack muffler?

The Extreme is not a glasspack, it is baffled. I think the Extreme is single baffle, Pro series is 2 baffle. They have another that is 4 baffle, even quieter.

ok, i looked at them on jegs, i think im gonna buy a set for my truck, they are 6 inches long, they should sound really good.

they are great. my buddy was gonna buy some for his 97 F150 5.4L but then backed out and just got a plain glasspack, and it sounds pretty retarded. I'm gonna get some of them when I get my exhaust redone......yes, they are mufflers not glasspacks.
