Coon, I am so glad to hear that happen to someone else besides me. Not to reveal in your misfortune, but I also bought a new door handle from Advanced, installed in the parking lot and when I got my shop, snapped the cable. My cable was frayed from rubbing on a badly deformed "door control assembly", the metal part the plastic is bolted to. wmiller was kind enough to sell me a used one from a parted truck to fix that problem. Replacing the cable was a pain, but where it connects to the door latch side, there is a plastic cover over it(when you see it you'll know what I am talking about). That cover wraps around the door latch, you need to pop the bottom off in order to slide it up and off of the latch. That sounds really confusing, but might make sense if you are in the door having to replace that cable. Adam
