I have a 1994 Ford F-150, and with both inside door handles, you have to pull really hard to open the door. Last week my drivers actually broke off. Is there anything to do, to make it easier to open. And how hard are they to replace?
I would say the linkage needs lubrication.
I have a door handle from some 80's thing laying around here somewhere.

I have a couple questions.
Do both doors do it or just one?
Can you open the door from the outside or just the inside?
Does it happen all the time or once and a while?
The outside opens perfect, the drivers did it all the time, the passenger does it around 70% of the time. And both of them get worse as time goes by. Well the drivers is broke off now..lol. So i have to unroll my window and open the door from the outside.
I had a problem similar to what you described, but my door only did it when I had the door locked and when I pressed the outside button it would stick and then it would not unlock so I had to pull the inside handle real hard and I actually broke it off as well.
But I fixed the sticking after I broke the handle.
I went to the junkyard and picked one off an 88 pickup for five bucks.
You should get a handle from an 80-86 or so pickup because they are metal.
I think you should take the door panel off and spray allot of WD-40 on the door latch and anything inside the door that has to do with opening it up.
I had the exact same problem with my 96 f150. When the door handle broke off on the driver's side I went to the dealership & spent the $5-10 on new ones. It took about 15 minutes on each door to replace them. While I had the panel off I also lubed the cable with motorcycle clutch lube. Now when they get sticky I just pull the panel off again & relube. I live on a dirt road and I think that has something to do with it. Good luck!
