The parts catalog does not list a bulb for the shift indicator dial.
No one has any.

If your shift dial is broken, the only dial that can be used is the type for 1967/72's.
It does not have the two GREEN dots.
It's P R N D 2 1.

The dial screws into the backside of the upper steering column flange, there is no place in the flange for a bulb to shine thru, there is no wire in the steering column for a bulb.
And...there is no shift indicator dial bulb listed in the parts catalog...because none of these trucks had it.
The 1967/72's didn't have one either.
Don (cs65) has the same parts catalog I do...look here: Illustration-Section 35, page 8. All the steering column parts are shown in an exploded view.
No bulb, no bulb socket, no wire.

Lap seat belts were optional, there were no shoulder harness seat belts available.

FAQ's.
They wonder if an AM/FM/Cassette radio was available. None till 1973.
Where's the CD fit? It wasn't invented yet. No power plug for a cellphone, cuz it wasn't invented yet, either.
Were power windows and seat available? There were none till 1981.
What's wrong with my parking lights? They go off when the headlights are turned on. That's the way they are supposed to work.
Disc brakes available? Not till 1973 (F100's).
How do you work the tilt wheel? None till 1975.
Where was the cruise control device? See tilt wheel.
Power steering and power drum brakes were available...as a dealer installed accessory. 95% of the trucks had neither.
Emergency flashers were optional. Very few 1964's had them, 1965, see 1964. About 25% of the 1966's had them, they were standard equipment in 1967.
Comparing a 1965 with a 2005 is like night and day.
But...none of these old piles have on-board computers and all the electronic emission valves/switches, none of the fuel related electronic valves/switches (crap) that's hard to diagnose when something goes amiss, and expensive to fix when you do figure out what's wrong.
Don't take my word for it...see all the questions pertaining to this crap asked EVERY DAY in the 1980 and later truck forums.

Talk about in-convienence...the 1967 & 1968/72 flasher switches are located...inside the glove box!
