On the dash there are 6 spots for *****. I'm wondering what they all are, I know(At least on my 65) it's lights, wiper, lighter, Then I had a blank slot which I used for a switch for my clearance lights, then heater, then choke. then above the ignition is a divot which I've seen something in and I'm not sure what those were either. mostly wondering what that blank spot could've been but to know if there were any others you could have would be nice to know.
On my '65 Custom Cab, the spot right above the ignition has the momentary button for the windshield washer. I have seen some larger trucks that have the pull ***** for the cowl vents in these spots. The spot next to the choke is for the emergency flasher switch if one was ordered. Steve
On some trucks with the two speed wiper motor and w/shield washers, the w/s washer feature is contained within the switch itself, so there's no separate button switch above the ignition switch.
Some of these trucks came with foot operated windshield washers (dealer installed accessory). Two types were available.
One, you have to pump the foot pedal, the other is electric, so just touching the pedal operates the washer feature.
Ok so if the flashers went next to the choke or heater then where did the Temp **** go? In mine it's in the hole to the right of the glove box where the vent control is supposed to be. I have nothing but a chrome cover on the hole next to the Choke then the heater on the left side is ignition washer button lights and wipers.

There were two different heaters.
One was just a re-circulating type, has just the heater blower switch on the dash panel.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The other heater is the deluxe fresh air type. The heater switch is on the dash panel.
Bolted under the dash is a bracket that has two more ***** attached to heater cables.
One cable runs to the heater water valve on the right fender apron. The valve is spliced into the inlet heater hose.
Pulling the **** opens the valve to allow hot water to flow to the heater core.
The other cable when the **** is pulled opens the fresh air door inside the heater plenum chamber to allow fresh outside air to flow over the heater core.
The deluxe fresh air heater has a rubber boot that fits between the plenum chamber and the right fresh air vent.

The 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for $22.00 + shipping.
Ask Don if he can burn you a CD copy of the parts catalog. When he was here last June, I loaned him my CD, he duped it.
Thanks Bill, That helps me now I know mine was supposed to have that bracket. I have the deluxe heater but have only the temp **** (which is disconnected due to it froze up but to be replaced) and the fan **** I also have a lever on the heater itself that says Def/heat was that controlled by another cable that would go next to the temp ****? The fan switch on the dash can be pulled too to bring in fresh air all in one switch is that correct?
My 63 F600 starting from the shifter (and the one missing the ****), moving left.... Heater, Choke, Throttle, Lighter, Lights, Wipers, Vent above ignition.
