current wind here is 44 with gusts up to 61. supposed to pick up after lunch with gusts up to 80.

The wreckers will love today, should be a good collection of previously funtional semi's and trailere laying along side I-25 in a few windy spots between Wyo- Col. state line and Wheatland.

Must not leave out the Guernsey turn off north of Wheatland. I hope no one gets hurt.

I remember driving home from my Mom's funeral in 05 from Lander. Wind out of the south must have been doing 70 mph. Wasn't bad coming from Casper to Cheyenne (except for the crappy fuel mileage. When we turned east toward Nebraska, things got interesting. My wife was so freaked out by how bad the trucks were swaying, she closed her eyes until the wind died down, past Sydney, Ne. Crazy. It was hell driving with that wind!

Scott do you deliver mail in town or a rural route. I helped on a rural route for a while and had our fair share of hairy moments out in the middle of nowhere.
