One thing is for sure Pat, I have so many things that need to be achieved in my life time that I may have to take up renting someone else to acomplish. Just kidding but it does seem like my life goes fast some times and little gets done. LOL!

You just need to figure out a way to clone yourself Orin. And if you figure it out, let me know! Of course, all I would do is have the clone stay at home and work on the house, while I go out hunting and drinking with my friends!!LOL!

Good Morning Ken. Doing good here today except for being late to work again. I need to quit working a 9 hour day and then going home and working 5-6 hours on the house. It is getting the best of me at 5:30 when the alarm goes off.

Good morning every one far and near on this beautifal Wyo day. I have been getting caught up on the news and thought I would run by here for a moment on my way out the door.
My mother said many years ago that I needed to be twins, The problem I see with this is nothing would get done because nobody likes to work when someone else is having fun. So I guess I must multitask and continue forth.

Okay, here are the before pics of the family room
The cabinet with the hideous green doors is a wet bar
Now here is what it looks like. Still have to build the cabinet doors, and I'm going to tile over the brick below the mantle.
Here is the wet bar still in progress, I ripped out all the plumbing, and turned this into a storage cabinet. It will have solid oak doors, not the "hip" 70's green ones!!LOL

Yeah, I veneered the lower cabinets, and the insides of the bookcases. Made new oak shelves, and new face frames for the bookcases, and a new oak top for the lower cabinets. A lot of work, but man, what a difference! I'm still not sold on that red above the fireplace, but I didn't pick the colors, and the wife is trying to be bold. We'll see.

Oh, yeah. Forgot about that. I was thinking of refinshing those, but way too much work, and they were cedar, so they wouldn't match. I did keep them, might cut them down and use them for some project later.

what kind of tile are you going with over the brick? I realized I really like seeing the before and after on housing projects. I will search more for that cord tonight. My project is really pretty small but it is a start. The basement is going to be a big project.
