Ha ha. I'm the same way. Raspiness is awful. Our El Camino has a 350 HO and I can't stand how it sounds. It's very aggresive sounding, has a deep rumble.. But it sounds "raspy", or something like it. I just don't like it. It has true duals with no cats and baffled mufflers. I've found that 350's make a real tinny sound. Add on top of that every young man with a 350 chebbie uses Flowmasters, and you get a REAL tinny sound. I like the way 350's sound, but they are my least favorite V8 sound. Ram trucks and Ford trucks sound the best to me. 5.4L's just turn me on when I hear one start. My gosh.
