Reprogram FICM?

I am working on a theft recovery truck that was put together by a third party. The PCM, FICM and Instrument cluster/GEM are all from different truck of different years.

I currently have a U0306-Software incompatibility With FICM code. Who can reprogram the FICM? I would guess a Dealership can but they will likely want the whole truck. Is there any other source to have this programming done?

Any thoughts or help is much apprecaited

Well after a 2 minute search (search first!) I found the answers. So far looks like Power Hungry, Innovative and Spartan can.

Power hungry and innovative would require you to send in the module. If you use Spartan, he could do it with the module or if you go thru his tuner, you can use that. Just depends on how much scratch you want to spend and how soon.

Those are the 3 that I'm aware of. I'm curious to know which one you use as I've been interested in reprogramming the FICM on my truck.

In all honesty, Matt's is going to be the best one because he can program a different FICM program for each individual tune, while the others will only give you the one and will have to have tunes based on that one and with that you'll have to make certain sacrifices because you have some tunes that were a little more powerful but not fuel economical and vice versa. You would just have to compromise.

The only downside to Matt's is that it's not quite available to the general public yet. So if time is of the essence then you'll have to send off the module to any of those 3 and they all can still do it.

Thanks guys. I don't have any need for performance from the truck as its not mine and will be resold once it together so I just need it to run. I will post back what we end up doing and how well it turned out.
