well we beat the firewall into oblivion and got the dp to fit. last problem is an easy fix. it is a surperduty dp so the head is bigger since the outlet on SD's was bigger than OBS. plan is Joe will take my new dp and the head from my old one and cut and weld the old head on. then she should bolt right in with the clamp and my rig will be runnin tomorrow. i'll have to take pics if i even remember and post them
that was worst case scenareo. we got the dp to work the right way now just need to get it welded up. sometime she'll have a hood stack or two. i need to get outta college and have a decent job and another vehicle before that though
ha! we win! the down pipe is off of a 7.3 superdootie. i cut the old flange off and welded the origonal onto the pipe. got it all installed this evening for him, we probably wont see any posts from john till tomarrow...... when i left his house he was sitting in the truck revving it up with a sheet eatin grin on his face....
nope wasnt fn sheep lmao. i was out in jennersville. Joe i went and got that girl i told yu bout and went cruisin round town and played in some fields=) i need to look at it and do some tweakin though cause the vibration on the floor is rediculous. should be able to just pry bac with a bar off the dp i hope. if not i'll tear into it again. gonna hold off till thurs though cause i got some partyin to do tomorrow. the neighbors dont like it im sure but owell lol. thanks alot Joe
yup, well, depending on how bad its hitting, we have plenty of room to remove the whole pipe. after a few days of cruising there should be a rub mark on either the pipe or firewall where it is touching. just bend in that location
thats what i'm gonna do. its gotten a little better maybe as if the wall bent a little from the heat but i dont know. i'm def gonna be takin it out to do some refab to get it right. i love the turbo sound though = ) can only imagine how good it will sound when its done
