When I go off road, it is in the sand (Cape Hatteras NC.) surf fishing.
Typical scenario here is to air down to about 20 to 30 psi for our E range tires. If you are running a lighter vehicle and D range tires you would prolly' air down to about 18psi. I am on hard sand below the tide line in this picture here which is easy to drive on. The soft stuff is there, it's fluffy and spins the tires easy. If I ever get stuck in the soft stuff (knock on wood now) I will take some pics and share.
Getting towed out on the beach will run you about $250. I think your $102 was a bargain!!
Yep, you found some hard stuff, looks like you might have been on the south end of OI. Usually don't need 4x4 there, once your on the beach. If you see my rig, stop in and fish a while.
Brent Yeah it actually was on the base, security just drove by like nothing was happening.
JD I believe it is a delta not positive but it is for like a toyota or ranger but i built 2X4's under it to make it as close to flush with the rest of the bed as possible
