I went ahead and started a new monthly thread since I will be out of the loop for at least a couple of days, but could be up to a week. Play nice and I will be back on when I am on the other side of the pond!!! It has been a very long 20 months
Woke up cold under the blankets this AM after leaving the fan on in the window all nite. Not sure what low was, but it's only 55* right now (almost 8AM).
This is looking out the window from bed. Near center of pic, beyond the trees is Blood Mountain and just to it's right is Slaughter Mtn - a couple of the highest peaks in GA (about 4500ft).
I have friends visiting from NY and they've been sleeping out on the porch for the last 2 weeks. They keep telling everyone they can't believe there are no skeeters, etc here.
We are working on the friend's F250 doing a veggie conversion and a few other projects. So far we've removed the bed and installed an Excursion fuel tank in the spare tire location on the truck and now he is painting everything to mitigate the effects of the NY winters. Here's the X tank installed.
I'll have to snap a few pics of his paint job, he has the OCD pretty bad and this is a great place to utilize it!
I also finished this project yesterday and delivered it to the very happy customer. This was a 5.4 truck I swapped a 7.3 PSD into. They needed a reg cab work truck and will be sending this out to paint ASAP, so it'll be a looker too!

I made it back to the states on Sunday afternoon, I am out processing at Ft Bliss Texas and it doesn't look like I will be home till the middle of the month at the earliest. Knocking out the stuff to get done so I can get the heck back home.
Upgraded to the new windows 10 last night, pretty nice OS.

Well I am still stuck at Ft Bliss and none too happy about it. Everything they do here is so slow. Just mad that I could have been done and home days ago but I am still stuck here. I am not very good at sitting around waiting.

Please be careful down there. The drug cartels are very active in that area.
Unless they come on post I have no worries. We had to get special permission to go into town and get a steak dinner last night. Looks like I will finally be heading home on Tuesday!!!
Good to hear Chief, I know you'll be glad. I sold my 94 Bronco this week (my son bought/traded his 89 F-150 for it). life around the shop has been busy as well. We're looking for another tech, so if anybody knows a good one please send them my way.
