I have a problem with my lower drivers door weather stripping. I just had back surgery and cannot get down there to check it out. It seems like the plastics holders that hold it tight to the door have broken(I guess). Can you just buy the plastic tabs or do you need to buy it as a package? Where can I get them? Thanks in advance
Sorry picture is a little out of focus. Had to take the picture holding the stripping with one foot balancing on the other. Anyway I think you get the idea.
Anyone fine the EDIT button for posts doesn't work???????
What happened to me hear is the door rusted away from the plastic anchors..I believe the weather strips there actually catch moister.. and in the end is worst for your truck

You can find an assortment of those plastic clips at the local parts store. I know Autozone used to carry a variety of them. I went and bought a whole new piece of stripping. It was like 17 bucks from the dealer believe it or not. It came with the lil clips and the stripping was a little different that original but it works!
If the weather stripping holds water in between itself and the bottom of the door, the use of 3M super weatherstripping adhesive and the clips would eliminate the water issue.
The rear passenger side door rubber stripping(the bottom piece of course) was coming off, I used some black windshield sealant(not sure what the proper name is) and it has not come loose, its been about 4 months now.
A buddy of mine had to replace a couple of his because the clips were broken. They were relatively cheap. And his were a different style from stock also. My rear drivers side door has one or two bad clips that I am going to try and replace because the strip is in good shape still. Dealer for sure should have the clips. Or maybe I will use the weatherstrip adhesive I have. Hmmm? I would think either alternative would work great. Tom, if you need any help let me know. I am just up in Maple Grove.
