ok I have decided on the Kenwood DDX512 and thanks to you guys I have found 3 online retailers with it, for $397-419, with free shipping, one has a 3 year warrenty, one has a one year, but free instulation gear, here is the 3 places:
I have only dealt with SonicElectronix out of those 3 and I have had very good luck with them. I bought the Kenwood KNA-G510 navigation unit, KNA-BT100 bluetooth unit, two LZ-6500W screens, Eclipse XA-5000 amplifier , and two pairs of SE8375 speakers from them. Got great deals on all of them and they shipped out quick.

Thanks for the reply, I went this moring to look at the locale dealers and their are high, in the price department, and they won't match online line prices, becose they said it had to be a refurb, for that price. All I'm concerned about is that they stand behind it, for the warrenty peorid, or in case it is DOA
Sonic Electronix is a certified dealer for some products, so you would just have to go to the manufacturer for service/warranty claims. For the other products they usually offer an in house warranty where you can mail your parts back and they will replace it with a new one. However, you have to make sure to keep all of the original factory packaging and paperwork to send back with the product in order for them to warranty it. I have never received a defective product from them, so I can't say how difficult of a process it is.
crutchfield.com is one good site, they make everything they sell basically "plug 'n Play" and all for free. will always use them for my electronic needs.

I am a fan of them too, but these other places and literity half the price.
when you pay more at a local retailer you are paying for the service of them standing behind their product which is why it costs more. If you buy from an online retailer you WILL run the risk of them saying that the warrenty is void since it was an internet sale and EVERY manufacturer has a policy aginst it.........
Craigslist.... for the win!
Truly, if you are lucky enough to live near a big city craigs is the best.
I buy stuff from people that have original boxs and paper work or receipts so you know it's legit. Then if it's a amp you can meet at a best buy and they will test it for a small fee.
I built my whole system for less then half of retail.
SonicElectronix.com has good reviews on resellerratings.com. Any good online retailer will have a return/warranty policy, and many times they go through the manufacturer themselves. Manufacturers do not have policies against online sales.
