I just read topic#1690 from Lou about getting his door cracks fixed on his 97 F150. He stated that Ford fixed his under the 5 year paint warrenty. After contacting my friend who I bought my truck from at a Dealer, He then contacted the service manager who said she new nothing of the cracks being fixed unless it is under the normal warrenty. I also gave him the TSB #996754 which I got on F150 online. Has anyone else had their cracks fixed under the 5 year paint warranty and if so is there a new TSB #. My friend suggested that I bring any info. by and show it to the service manager. It seems that they should have alot more info on it than me. Mine 1s a 98 with both doors cracked and would like to get them fixed before the 5 years run out....Thanks for any info
I've seen lots of posts about these "door cracks", I have checked but don't see anything on mine? Either I'm lucky or, I'm not looking in the right place. Can someone tell me where these cracks are showing up. Thanks, especially to the webmaster--great site!
