Pretty much the same symptoms I had when my HPOP went south. Same description form the tech that worked on my 03 F250 as well. It was throwing a P1285 (think it was P anyways) code that indicated ICP out of range low. ICP was replaced (not at dealership), and soon after I had no boost and no power on throttle. I also experienced extended cranks when attempting to start while engine was at op temp.
I thought it was just the ICP pigtail connector that was messed up (the person who replaced ICP the first time did a crappy job on splicing the pigtail connector). Dealer's tech started with ICP and worked the diagnosis until all signs pointed to HPOP. About $2500 later, we were good to go.
Haven't had any problems since, with the exception of decreased fuel milage. I was at about 20-22 mpg on highway before HPOP was replaced. I'm down to beween 16 - 18 mpg nowdays (but I think it has to do more with the fuel we have right now more than anything). And I'm still not complaining too much about that.
Here's the only other thing I would suggest, cause I'm not sure if you've done this yet. Given that you have ARP studs installed you very well may have gotten around to these. If you're getting HPOP replaced, have the tech take a look at the oil cooler filter screen and see if it needs replaced. If HPOP is coming out, that shouldn't be too much more effort to look at. I had some earlier issues with the oil cooler failing (causing oil to contaminate coolant) and that might be worth checking while the engine's apart.
Well, I got my truck back today. They replaced the ICP Sensor and harness and the Fuel Injection Pump. Truck is running great and is retuned to the Spartan ASE tune.
When I was called on Monday I was told the HPOP. But the paperwork says Fuel Injection Pump. I guess the service writer was not sure. All I know is it is 100% better than the last time I drove it.

I went to Russ Milne Ford. My truck goes there or Romeo Ford. Russ Milne is close and I know the diesel tech at Romeo. Both have taken good care of my truck.
