4wd conversion

what are the best axle and transfer case combination to make a 2002 4x4 ?
are all the front axles same with manual hubs?

Dana 60 in the front with warn manual locking hubs... While your at it u might as well put a strong limited slip or locker in the axle too....

On the fly transfer case is one that can be shifted into 4wd while moving... The best transfer case ever built is a NP205. They came in chevy's in the late 70's early 80's. it is not a shift on the fly transfer case. BUT it is the strongest and best built. You would have to make a call to Advanced Adapters to get that transfer case working behind your ford transmission.

The OEM transfer cases that came with the stock trannies (auto and stick) on superduties have the ability to shift on the fly as well - in case you were wondering.
