Lighted Switches??????????
Ok i am trying to hook up rear back up lights on a switch and i bought a lighted spst switch. I get it all hooked up and the light on the switch will not come on. The other to lights mounted on my reese do turn on. They are self grounding and work just fine i just cant get the light on the switch to come on. It has 3 connections coming off the back. I am so frustrated i just quit and came in side so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If your backup lights (self-grounding) are working but the switch light isn't, I'm betting on the ground wire.
Did you double-check to make sure you have a clean ground connection for the switch?

I got lucky. I'm usually the one chiming in late.
The only reason I am online today is I have some eye pain that kept me home from work.
Recently diagnosed as diabetic; appointment not until the 16th at the VA Eye Clinic. My wife is a little concerned, so I sent her shopping until her chiropractic appointment this afternoon.

I got lucky. I'm usually the one chiming in late.
The only reason I am online today is I have some eye pain that kept me home from work....so I am going to stare at a computer screen today.

LOL......I fixed it for you.....I am stuck painting the living room......getting ready for the predicted 14" of snow tonight.....hopefully the Cub Cadet can push it......otherwise I have to go pick up the Kubota at the property

Good one. I have to install a fan and light kit in the dining room before Sunday, but I'm afraid to climb the ladder.
When the eye pain hits, it's like someone stabbed a needle into the back of my eye. My eyes water-up so much I can't see too well.

Yep Ron and Moose are right. Check your ground wire. The ground on the back of the switch is what makes the switch light up.

You gotta wear a helmet when you're weldin LOL! I guess that's what you feel like. Welder flash is the worst eye pain I ever felt, I feel for ya bud.
