Rear Differential leak

Rear Differential leak
I just dropped my F-250 off for the rear differentail leaking! The service advisor proceeds to tell me that its not covered under the 100000 mile powertrain warranty! My question is wouldnt that be part of powertrain since it is where the axle meets the rear-end? Why would not consider this powertrain?

Unfortunately it does not cover that, BUT differential service is easy do it yourself project or minimal at the shop.
I'm not sure what the specifics of your truck is but mine is a 2001 F250 SD.
You will have a gasket or a RTV sealant around your differential cover, if there's a leak I'm sure that's what you will need to look at.
