Steering column compability question

I found a tilt column from a '86 F250 Diesel. Is it simply remove from the old and re-install to my truck? I know that some things with the diesel were substantially different. $30.00 and about 15min from my front door.

It should be plug and play.

Well I have an 85 diesel and used an 81 gas column, it was a plug and play so I am very sure yours would be..

Id like to upgrade to a 87 though but there not the same, probably without some rewiring.
