Column verification

Hey guys, I saw the post about steering columns on the ther page and was wondering if anyone could verify for me, if a gas column will fit into a diesel. Here it seems like a guy can find columns for gas jobs like nothing, but for a diesel its alot harder to find. The year of my diesel is 1990 and if any year of gas column would fit in, would be awesome, or even if some of the wiring can be switched over or whatnot, Thanks!

Ive been asking the same question as my column is hooped.
Lots of gas ones around but no diesel ones . I think they would be diffrent because of the wiring. Glow plugs!

I have done gas ones before from nontilt to tilt and cruise and if you have to take out the wiring from the old column then that's what you'll have to do. I have NOT done one on a diesel before but, I don't think that there would be any difference, just doulde check to make sure the mounts are the same and the harness connection is the same. In addition to the glow plug issue, you could just bypass and ad a push button or add a lead wire to controller from ON postion.

Steering column should be the same. The glow plugs are not hooked to the switch in the cloumn. Both have the same key positions, ACC OFF ON START.
