I just replaced my dash bezel. The one I put on it had a fuel tank selector switch. Now I am unable to switch tanks. Could this fuel pump reset switch fix my problem? If so where would I find this switch on a 92 F350?
Ya I could switch tanks before replacing the switch. I was just hoping it wasn't the switch seeing as how the guy I bought the dash/gauge bezel from did a little price gouching saying the switch is hard to come by and blah blah blah. I guess Ill have to put the old switch back on and see if I can switch tanks again. Problem with the old switch is the tabs/plastic brackets things that attach to the back of the dash bezel are broke off and I would have no way to attach the switch without jerry rigging something which is what I was trying to avoid.
prolly bad fuel tank switch or busted wire. The reset, kills the fuel pump completely. I have dual tanks, and nothing pumps once the reset switch is popped up. If truck is running reset is fine. get in pass side swing your right foot up to the bend in the floor and move ur foot to right and "Kick". that cover must be removed completely. it is not a 1 inch round plug or anything like that. It is a 16 x 12 inch piece of molded colored plastic.
Those fuel selectors were junk...I replaced mine long time ago, I hope u didn't get sold a bad used one.
I'm going to hook the old switch back up later today. If it changes tanks then I'm going to try to get a new switch. If it doesNT switch tanks then I'm going to inspect whatever wires I can find that may have to do with it. If I cant find something wrong with the wiring then what else should I try or look at?
