Morning Jerry, Neil, Randy, and the rest of my Nebraska buds! I stopped and had a talk with the service manager at Woodhouse yesterday. He said they've had TONS of diesels in gelled up. He said it's the fuel, that it's not being mixed right, and it's full of moisture. He showed me a filter that was all gelled up, and another that was froze!! So, I'm going to have to make sure I get a 50/50 blend, or at least a 60/40 blend. Gotta change the filters this week, then run out half of that crap I have in there, then get some #1 in it.
Pat, thats what the truckers were saying on the cb, filters, they were talking about some additive in a red bottle that solves that problem but i'm not up on diesels, glad you got it in tho,did see a woodhouse wrecker picking one up on interstate coming home
well, off to shop to get that stang unloaded, they want to trailer another one home so gotta get the doors un-iced to get it off ,will get some pics, can't believe how much ice was on it,glad it was there and not here, laters
Morning guys... it's nice and warm here at 18! We had a dusting of snow so the highways were slick as snot this morning, counted 6 cars in the ditch or median. The interstate was closed for a while, haven't heard how many cars were in on that deal. People around here slow down for NOTHING, idiots...

Damn oil companies!!!!
You now have the perfect excuse to help me move Pat, you need to burn off that old fuel by driving up here. Then you can fill up in SD with some better diesel.
I found bug number two in my truck last night. It appears the one item the guy did not replace in the interior is the headlight dimmer switch. It went to high-beam, then stuck there. So I blinded lots of people getting home, lol. Got a new one ordered from LMC. In the meantime, I may try whacking the old one with a hammer (after I take it out, I know I'd miss and put a hole in the dash or something if I used the hammer while the switch is in the truck!)
From Yahoo Answers Diesel fuel #2 should resist gelling down to about -10 deg. F (-23 deg. C), while winter blends of diesel fuel #2 and fuel #1 (kerosene) can typically handle temperatures down to -4 degrees F to -20 deg. F. But some "winter" blends may gel at higher temperatures if it contains too much #2 diesel and not enough #1 (say around 18 to 20 degrees F).
