Well, boys, I've had about enough of the nuclear power industry for one day. I need to get back on tonight and check out the pic of Rob's new digs! I'll be back on later!
"Hi everyone, before I start could I just get confirmation from the audio technicians in the other room that the canned laughter is ready to go the moment I crash and burn,..ok, lets go.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to start by thanking Pat on behalf of the Nebraska members. I would also like to thank everyone here on behalf of FTE, particularly those who've traveled long way.
When Pat asked me to give a speech, he dulled the fear I would experience by bribing me with a few pints and offering me money. I told him I couldn't be bought, so then he offered me twenty-five, and I asked him if he thought I was cheap. Finally he offered me fifty. So good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, my name is Dallas and I'm on 1000 post!!
Apparently, it's my duty to offer a small piece of advice to the members.
"Fellow FTE members, as we sit here today listening to co-workers blabbing about stuff we don't care about, I would like to make several predictions about what the future will hold: "I believe that one day will be Sunday". "I believe that the next day will be Monday" "I believe that one day, I will have a new Ford truck" "I also believe that one day, I will own a new Harley Davidson" And finally, "I believe that one day pornography will be accepted as everyday life" And then there's some stuff about the death of Wall Street which I don't think we need to get into....
I'll go now, to make bigger mistakes and to embarrass this fine institution even more. But let me leave you with one last thought: If you can laugh at yourself loud and hard every time you fall, people will think you're drunk.
Evening all, just got back from a long day breathing exhaust fumes, nothing there to jump up and down about, did get a 84 clubcab 3/4 2 wheel drive truck, has a good running 6.9 diesel in it,good spare motor for the rollback, lol
