66 Throttle Cable

Trying to find a NOS or factory replacement accelerator / throttle cable for a 66 F-100. 352 ci, 3 speed. Any ideas locating would be greatly appreciated.

You will not be able to find one, i looked for a month or so..... Finally bought a Lokar UT 1000 universal throttle cable. It was very easy to install and works great.

I'll second the LoKar deal. Simple, not expensive, looks nice and the first one has worked for me for over 7 years! Now I use stock accelerator pedals and a LoKar cable on my trucks. LoKar kick down cable is also very nice. Tape over the extra holes works but a welded patch holds up better.

They pop up on Ebay from time to time. I bought mine there NOS for under $50! The original wrapper had been water damaged and folks were afraid of it I guess! There was a little surface rust on the end that goes toward the carb but it cleaned up easy. Regularly, they go much higher than that! Be patient, one will show up! I don't know the contact numbers but I have seen Number Dummy mention them in post before, places like McDonalds Obs. Parts and Greens. Maybe you could do a search for those names in the forums or maybe someone else could supply you with the contact info! I know that NumberDummy has it!

I bought one from Macs antique auto parts a couple years ago. It's a reproduction, but it looks just like the original, and works well.

I just checked again, no Ford dealer or obsolete seller has any and NO ONE is reproducing it.

C5TZ9A758AH .. Accelerator Cable-20.00" long / Fits: 1965/66 F100/250 ~ 352 ~ 2WD only!

Several months ago, I ran this part number on the Ford dealer parts locator system, a dealer in GA had two.

I posted the info, said y'all have 24 hours to buy them, or the Big Dummy (who has a NOS spare and doesn't need it) will grab them.

Both were gone within 12 hours!

Now that is what I call a complete answer. This is the kind of response that really makes this place special. Although it is disapionting for 53flathead not to have a line on one at this point, you can know that is the real answer and not what some guy on the parts counter thinks! Awsome job Number Man!

And hopefully one will float to the top soon!
