This morning going to work everything was fine. I stopped to pickup a newspaper then after pulling back onto the highway I noticed the truck shifted hard through the gears then when it got into OD it lost power and the rpms went to 5000 and the truck was not pulling. I stopped and pushed the OD switch and took back off and it shifted perfect but when I turned the OD back on the problems were back. As long as the OD is off it shifts great but turn on the OD and it is screwed up.. Any ideas? Truck is a 06 screw 5.4l 4x4.

I had a trany problem, so I was curious what your issue was, but they are not related at all. I hope you get an answer, sure sounds odd to me though. Id be interested to know what you find out.

I was able to get it to the dealer today and they diagnosed it as the OD servo (whatever that is) They were able to order the parts and I should be good to go around noon tomorow. Excel Ford in Cabot AR is AWeSOME. I have a camping trip planned starting Thursday and was very worried I would not get to go.

 

Glad you got it solved. It always amazes me how these things work one minute and not the next. Enjoy the camping trip!
