factory 2 wd rim width?
...just got a 78 4x4...

Ok, starting from scratch. :)
F250, F350 have 8 lug wheels because of their "free floating" rear axles.
F100, F150 and Broncos have the "five on five and a half" lug wheels.
(so did some Dodge pickups and who the hell cares what else;)
The "half ton trucks" have a "car axle like" rear axle setup. :/
Sad but true. :/

The 2wd has a large "centering hub" in the front to match the rear.
And since the rear axle "can be" the same exact thing 2wd or 4wd... :)
