While doing my brake lines today, I pulled the truck forward for easier access. I noticed the right front tire moved into a negative camber position, but the driver's side did not. When I backed it up to it's spot when I was done, the right front went back to normal, and matched the driver's side.
I know that all of these IFS trucks did this right from new, but from what I've seen and read here at FTE it's usually the opposite of what I'm experiencing.
Obviously something is out of whack, just wondering if anyone has run into this before, and what the problem may have been?
I know that when backing up to park these trucks almost always sit down in the front and sometimes have a negative camber. It goes back to normal when pulling forward and during driving etc. I think almost every Ford truck with twin I beam I have seen does this. Mine does a little.
Right, that's been my experience too, on every IFS Ford I've owned (this one is the third). But usually it's both wheels, and they go into negative camber when backing up, back to normal when driving forward.
This one is doing the opposite, neg camber on the pass. side wheel when driving, goes back to normal when backing up.
This is eating away at me, and it's cold and windy today, but I'm gonna need to jack it up and check things out.
Either that or learn to back up really good and drive it that way.
