I'm SURE this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find an answer appropriate to my situation when I search the forum(s).
I have a 1994 F250(HD, apparently) Supercab longbed 4x4, with a sticker that says the front GAWR is 3920 pounds. I'm trying to find some replacement parts (like a pitman arm), but my options are either 3850# or 4600# front GAWR.
I don't know for sure (yet) which front axle I have (I THINK it's a Dana 50). If it helps, my rear axle code is C5 (limited slip, 4.10 gearing).
Yes you have the TTB (Twin Traction Beam) Dana 50. I don't think it matters which arm you get as there is likely very little or no difference in the two. But if I had to choose I would go with the 3850. All the GAWR is is the carrying capability of the front end. It's all in the springs. The axle and steering are all the same from 250 -250.
