mirror plugs

i will be switching the factory power paddle mirrors on my 05 SD with power heated tow mirrors with the turn signals. i am pretty sure that my stock mirrors have the round plugs and the new mirrors have rectangular plugs. what do i need to do to get these to work?

FX4 with you having a 05 the heated towing mirrors should just plug in. I just did the same thing to my 04 and I had the flat plug that matched up with the plug from the 05 towing mirrors that I installed. Hope this helps you

If by chance the plugs are different I understand there is an adaptor plug made for this swap....

I took paddle mirrors off my 05 F250 and put tow mirrors on,ordered mirrors for my 05,came with wrong plugs,cut the ones off my old mirrors andand put them on the tow mirrors

but if i had to cut the plugs off of the paddle mirrors and install them on the tow mirrors, will the heat and turn signals work on the new tow mirrors?

i have one of the adapters i will send it to you for $5 plus shipping if you need it. it will also have the part number on it if you need to get another one. it is brand new in the package
