yep..the skinny pedal is the key point. I"ve been running 35x12.50x15 BFG MT's on my dana 28 for years..and have been doing nothing but rock crawling off road and have never had a problem.

Yea I've found the lock out's housing itself tends to snap off before anything else does, even running stock sized wheels.
If/when it happens it's real easy to fix, pull the wheel off and whats left of the lockout housing, slide on a replacement lockout assembly and put the wheel back on!
Sure other parts can and will break, but all I've ever broke so far is the lockouts, end snaps clean off. Lucky? Could be.....
