Axle Interchangeability

Can we use Jeep front axles?

as front axles. theyre way easier to find around here.

If its out of a J-10 or J-20 pickup I suppose it would work, assuming its drivers side drop. Fabrication may be necessary to make it bolt up to the Ford's springs and the steering linkage would need to be changed.

so far all the jeeps ive seen are drivers side drop. how come an axle out of a cj wouldnt work? track width?

track width is main item... it wouldn't last very long under a full size either.. JMO
